"It Works! Global, a supplement company based in Palmetto, has purchased a new headquarters to accommodate its rapidly expanding business.

The company paid $3.125 million for a 36,000-square-foot retail plaza that overlooks Manatee River. About 800 customers each month will come from around the country to decide whether they’d like to become independent distributors selling It Works! dietary supplements and weight loss body wraps, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune said.

It Works! Owner Mark Pentecost now sells his product to 33,000 independent distributors worldwide, the Herald-Tribunesaid. He also owns Stoneybrook Golf Course at Heritage Harbour.

The plaza at 908 Riverside Drive in Palmetto was built in 2002 and was one of the first properties in the area to be foreclosed on six years ago as the property market bubble burst, the Herald-Tribunesaid. "
